AddisCar connects people in Addis Ababa who need a car with local owners who have one to rent. Every account and every listing is reviewed by our team.
For renters
Step 1
Search available cars
Choose your pickup area in Addis Ababa, your dates and the type of car you need. Only approved, available cars are shown.
Step 2
Send a booking request
You see the full price breakdown in ETB — daily rate, driver or delivery fees, service fee and refundable deposit — before you confirm.
Step 3
Get verified
Upload your national ID or passport and your driving licence. Our team reviews them, usually within a working day.
Step 4
Pick up and drive
Meet the owner at the agreed place and time, complete the pickup checklist, and the car is yours for the rental period.
For car owners
Step 1
Apply as a car owner
Create an account, then submit your owner application with your ID and bank or mobile money details.
Step 2
Add your car
Upload photos, the libre, insurance, and set your daily, weekly and monthly rates. Our team reviews and approves the listing.
Step 3
Accept bookings
Approve or decline requests, block dates in your calendar, and message renters directly.
Step 4
Get paid
After each completed rental we deduct the platform commission and record your payout in Ethiopian Birr.
Safety & verification
- • Renters upload a national ID or passport and a valid driving licence.
- • Owners submit identity documents and payout details before listing.
- • Each vehicle's libre, insurance and roadworthiness papers are reviewed.
- • Documents are stored privately and are only visible to our verification team.
- • Suspicious accounts or listings can be suspended by administrators at any time.
